In this allegory the setting takes place in cave. The prisoners are in a cave and can only see shadows of the real world in front of them while. The real world is happening right behind them, and shadows of the real world are on the walls which the prisoner are facing. One the prisoners escape and now can go explore “the light” which in this allegory us the real world. He has experiences and adjust to what is reality. The prisoner goes back to the cave and tells his other fellow prisoners that he has seen the true meaning of life, which in this case it is “the light”. The prisoners called retaliated and only believed what the shadows show. In conclusion the main point of the story is to convey reader to not get hold back by people who only pay attention to shadows, “the made-up reality” but to find reality yourself and don’t let anyone tell you what it is real or not. Not be controlled.
