The genre I decided to use for my Unit 3 is Twitter threads. I chose this because the audience I am trying to target are people who are mostly 20 years old and older. I feel like mostly older people use Twitter. The paragraphs in Twitter are usually short since there’s a limit of 280 characters per post and I think that’s good since I don’t want to bore my audience or intimidate them with really long paragraphs. Twitter also allows you to upload a picture or video in your posts. The point of view is written by the person writing the post, which is usually one person but people can add their comments to it. The tone can depend on what you’re writing and who you are trying to target. It is mostly casual and sometimes shortened since there’s a limit to the characters you can use. It is organized by short paragraphs and comments above your post. The genre can be found in the Twitter app or online since people do share twitter posts.

Class Meetings & Times: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4-5:40 PM, in Namm 521
Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12 – 1 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance via email. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
