At the beginning of writing my draft, I didn’t really have much to write about and I was struggling to focus on something to write about. After reading “Shitty First Drafts”, I just started writing about whatever came to my mind even if it wasn’t relevant because I knew I can go back and change it. I did keep some parts of what I wrote in the beginning and some parts were deleted. It inspired me to write whatever because it didn’t have to be perfect or it didn’t need to have perfect grammar since it was a shitty draft. Every time I would go back I’d fix my grammar and take some parts out. I noticed I didn’t have any dialogue so I looked at where I could’ve added someone speaking. I also tried to add some parts where I described a scenario using imagery. At the end, I reread my draft to check over misspelled words and punctuation.Â
