The process of me writing my narrative was pretty straightforward. My main focus was the draw a good comparison in my story. Make sure that the reader understood the difference between the two characters in the story. The reading of “Shitty First Drafts” did help in a way because it helped me build confidence in my writing. For example, the act of “just write it” inspired me to just write it down because this is my first draft. I should not be ashamed of writing. The reading helped me write down the emotions I was feeling in my head as I was writing and give them to the characters of the story. Giving my characters life. My writing process was very simple. I just wrote down what I felt in the moment and then touched it up later in the review. I make sure that every word is exactly what I am trying to say. That helped because in every line the reader knows exactly what I am feeling. I felt confident that in my final draft my writing was exactly that way I wanted it to be.
