Mike Bunn once said “read like a writer” but what does that actually mean? Most of the time we usually read something and don’t put too much mind into it. We think reading a text is getting the main idea but it’s more than just that. One good example we should keep in mind while reading any text is to ask ourselves who the text is intended for, who the main audience is. You can get a hint of who the audience is by the way the text is written, formal or informal. This is something that can be useful for readers to get a better understanding of the text. and it will be something I’ll start using more often while reading.
