Bresson describes his work as surrealist photography and you can see how he gets that as you see his work. He tries to see “strong relations of shapes ” to make the picture come together. To him, it wasn’t about documenting a moment but seeing the geometry of the pictures and what they represent at first glance. He also speaks about what differentiates a good photo and a mediocre photo and he mentions millimeters. Small changes in angle are essential when deciding on the “Decisive moment”
