- For me Dawoud Bey approach the idea of photography as a way of finding his voice first because he lost his hearing. Second because he wanted to project the emotions of people, I mean that somethings as happiness, sadness and other emotions did not need of voice or words to be illustrated instead of it he used the photography to show it. One of his projects significant was Birmingham project because he made an illustration of the unfortunate event made by the KKK which was bomb the Baptist Church’s. He made an illustration basing in if victims were alive to make consciousness.
- Carrie Mae Weems use photography to find her voice because she illustrated the quotidian life of women. The kitchen table project is the responsibility that a woman has through generations. Also, she shows through the photography diverse aspects in the life of woman. For example, to be mother and wife. The impact was that women has been susceptible to stereotypes.
- I think that to find my own voice I need to encounter things that make me think deeply about feelings or events of life. I would like to find a voice whit which people could feel identified.
