I am currently working on a book manuscript that is “the textbook I wish I had to teach writing and design.” Here, at the nexus of ideation, inquiry, and iteration I am working to finish and advance the publication of a practice-based manuscript that learners can use to advance the horizons of their interests through the fluid and adaptable process of generating, testing, and sharing ideas that I have been cultivating for the classroom. As a project with the primary purpose of improving my own teaching practice, the manuscript will serve as the formalization of my own journey as a teacher and learner in the world — a well-curated collection of principles, methods, perspectives, conceptual exercises, and anecdotal examples that support how I work with learners as they conceive and develop a vision for their own success by combining writing and design pedagogies to pursue their own interests.
