Objective: dissecting a network switch and its power supply and documenting it components. Materials: Linksys srw 2008 MP 8 port GB switch , screw drivers, camera phone, craftsman pry bar, grips.
Procedures: : 1: make sure you are not opening the power adapter because it contains capacitors with some stored power, so let someone less fond of life open it.
2: remove rubber feets from power supply to reveal phillips head screw 3: removed 2 of the screws and wrestled with the other 2 for quite some time. 4: resorted to pry bar for remaining 2 screws. careful not to touch anything that`ll shock you. 5: remove phillips screws that hold circuit board to the outer case. 6: move onto opening the switch, using a slotted screw driver to pop open the snaps that hold the face plate and top and bottom plates together. 
7: remove the circuit board from the bottom plate of the switch by removing screws 8: remove the daughter board from the main board by removing a screw.
Results: successfully…?? opened both the power supply and switch and removed the circuit boards and took pictures of the circuit boards and their components.
