Last week I started building the mechanical parts of the POV display. We got a small fan. I took the screen protection of the fan off, cut a peace of plywood that fits inside of the fan without touching the edges, so it can spin freely, and I drilled a hole in the middle of the plywood halfway through its thickness. The hole that a drilled has the exact diameter of the motor’s rod, so its holding it tight right now, but I think it will be a good Idea to use some sort of glue perhaps just to be safe. I also cut a 16” X 4” (I think, I am not sure if the measurements are correct, I have to double check) piece of masonite and made 7 holes in one end, with about ¾” apart from each other. These are where the LED will be attached. This piece of masonite will be screwed on top of the piece of plywood, and it will serve as the propeller of the fan. This week I am going to start attaching the LEDs and after everything is wired and tested I can finish assembling the propeller.

Everything seems to be in order.
We also managed to figure out the code we have and it apparently is ready to be used. Just need to test it.
I also bought a couple of the 9V batteries we needed. I believe we only needed one but I bought a couple extra just in case.
