Having taken a look at the Maker Faire and the way my schedule has been messed up recently, my boyfriend and I have decided that we will be celebrating our seven year anniversary by going together to the Maker Faire.
There are many things going on at this year’s Maker Faire that have caught my attention. One such example is Farm Hack, another is Disrupting Higher Ed: Barter and Mentor Based Education. Yet another is Hacking Autism.
Related to Arduino, I am rather interested in a few things going on at the Arduino Stage:
- Water Quality Monitoring with Arduino
- Hand in Hand
- Taking Arduino Projects to the Next Level
Aside from these, there’s also a number of speakers that will be present that interest me greatly. Though we haven’t figured out precisely which projects we’ll be going to see this weekend, these are the talks that we’ll likely be picking from:
- Water Quality Monitoring with Arduino (Saturday, Arduino Stage, 2:30-3 PM)
- Hand in Hand (Saturday, Arduino Stage, 3 PM – 3:30 PM)
- Taking Arduino Projects to the Next Level (Sunday, Arduino Stage, 4 – 4:30 PM)
- Disrupting Higher Ed: Barter and Mentor Based Education (Saturday, NYSCI Auditorium, 11 AM – 11:30 AM)

The wireless transmission was pretty fascinating. I found an article which explains the thing and uses it to power an HDTV set wirelessly.
