Goals, Expectations, and Guidelines

OpenLab Interns will receive training to become members of the OpenLab Team. They will work on semester-long projects to help improve the OpenLab and provide support and outreach to the OpenLab community.

This semester’s Projects include:

  • Community Support
  • Community Outreach Campaigns: Did You Know? Series
  • ePortfolio Student Engagement via The Buzz, Tutorials, Workshops, Swag (printed handouts/stickers)
  • WP Theme improvements, Dev Testing, and more theme choices

Goals

Thinking about good teamwork and communication for the OpenLab internship, these are our shared goals.

Expectations

  • Attend meetings
  • Keep track of hours and work completed each week via our shared time-tracker spreadsheet
  • Provide mid-week check-ins on Asana
  • Provide outreach to the community
    • Using research to make recommendations about ePortfolios on the OpenLab
    • Share expertise with the student community, eg via The Buzz, screencasts; evergreen content on digital displays in COMD and throughout campus; workshops; newsletter; ?
  • Modeling best practices through your ePortfolio
  • For Internship course: Share Weekly Journal entries on your ePortfolio under Category > Internship
