What is the value of creating layers in Illustrator?
Creating layers in Illustrator is a crucial part of staying organized. Layers allow users to alter a specific portion of their work without disrupting the rest of their composition. With layers, you are able to hide, lock, move, add effects, and edit content within that specific layer, rather than make changes to the entire composition. This is also ideal in the event that you make a mistake. Rather than possibly having to redo the entire piece, you can easily undo your actions within that specific layer, or redo that layer if needed. You’re also able to rename each layer to whatever you’d like. This aids a lot in keeping track of what’s going on and knowing where everything is.
