Creating a Cityscape with the Perspective Grid Tool

Today, we will discuss how to set up an artboard to work in a two-Point Perspective.

Objectives

What you can expect to learn

• Learn how to transform flat two-dimensional shapes into three-dimensional shapes.

Critique

Each week we will review homework assignments from the previous class. Students will participate in reviewing material and offering suggestions for improvement for their cohort. This week students display their patterns on the dielines bags.

Lab 14 – Using the Perspective Grid Tool

Lab assignments are done during class time. Watch the demonstration in class.

Discussion:

Each week you will need to respond to two questions posted. This is a requirement for the participation part of your grade.

Homework Due Last Class: 

All work should be submitted by 5:00 am the Wednesday before class.

Complete your Perspective Cityscape. Include windows, sidewalks, doors, graffiti on a wall, trees, clouds, and any other items (cars, etc.) that will enhance your cityscape.

Each file should be saved according to the following naming convention. i.e., 3711_14_LastName_Final.ai (Illustrator).
