    Question: 1

In order to load a selection in photoshop, you must first make a selection using one of the many selection tools available. Once you have your desired selection, you must then navigate to the select dropdown menu and click on save selection. After doing this a dialogue box will appear and you will have to name your selection before saving. Now, when you’re ready to use that selection, all you have to do is navigate to the select dropdown menu again and click on load selection. This ends up being very beneficial because it allows you to access previous selections with ease, allowing you to use them whenever you may need it.

    Question 01 –

To load a selection, you would first have to select an area using any of the selection tools you have. Second, go to the Select tab on the top and choose the “Save Selection” option. This will open the Destination where the selection will be saved to. Name the selection, then click OK to save the current selection shape into Photoshop’s selection library. To clarify, the saving the selection will not save the part of the image you selected, but the shape of the marching ants themself! Now that you have a selection saved, you can unselect your marching ants, but now with the ability to pull it up again in another time. Simply, go back to the Select tab, but this time, click “Load Selection” to bring up its panel, then click OK once you have made sure that your Named Selection is selected. This will now put back the selection that you have saved before onto the save area of the image!

    Question 02 –

To fill a selection with the foreground color, first make sure that you have your marching ants present on the image and have a color that you want to fill it as ready in the foreground color swatch. Then, go to the Edit tab on the top left, and click on the “Fill” option. This will bring out the Fill panel, giving you choices on how you would like to fill the selection. The “Contents” dropdown menu should have Foreground color selected so that once you click OK, it will fill your selection with the foreground color. The same process can be done for the background color, if you switch Contents to Background color! A shortcut to this would be to simply press OPTION/ALT + DELETE to fill with the foreground color, while COMMAND/CTRL + DELETE will fill with the background color.
