  1. Since childhood obesity has increased in the United States over the last three decades, Governments as a the most powerful organization that is responsible for citizens health specific children who are the future investment for this country, need to take serious actions by providing safe park play grounds with all kind of equipment facilities that will encourage low income family to take children there without any fear of spending money. For sure, this simple step will have a huge impact on children health and it will also satisfied our community by having happy and healthy young generation.

  2. One realistic change that I think would improve children’s health would be incorporate smaller portions into our society. Japan has the lowest obesity rate in the world, so naturally their health and diet should be a model to the rest of the world. In Japan, the calorie consumption is 200 calories less than America, but that’s not the reason for the low obesity rates. Fast food joints are still widely available so it’s not lack of temptation either; it’s the smaller portions. In Japan, it is common to be seated to a table for four adults and served 40 bite-sized dishes, and most people can only finish 5 or 6 of the dishes completely. Not only are you consuming a variety of nutrients at one sitting, but it is proven that eating many smaller meals throughout the day can keep you more satisfied and your metabolism more energized than the American standard of 3 big meals a day. introducing and reinforcing better habits is the answer.

  3. Child hood obesity is a complex family problem, but families can take simple steps to combat this problem.First of all families can stop buying sugary drinks. Families with obesity problems should drink unsweetened teas, seltzer water ,and plain water. This small sacrifice can lead to good weight loss trends in obese families. Families can exercise together take brisk walks around the neighborhood .These are a few minor changes that can start a family on the path to healthy living.

  4. Since childhood obesity become the fastest growing health crisis in the United States, in my opinion, I believe that family can certainly make an effort to improve children’s health by making simple and small changes in home environment, which can have huge and long-lasting benefits to children. Parents play an important role as guide for their children in lifestyle. It can help children consciously getting away from sugary drinks and junk food, if parents can make sure that most food in home are healthy and teach their kids to look at healthy food as tasty. Also, parents can encourage their children to go for a walk, ride a bike, or any other type of physical activity, instead of allowing them spend most of free time on playing computer or watching TV.

  5. Childhood obesity is what one third of American children go through. And I think the best way to solve childhood obesity is to start from the family. To fight childhood obesity I think families should have restrictions on sugary foods and drinks. They should provide more fruits, vegetables and water to the children and also engage their children in sporting activities, this will help them to get rid of fats in the body and keep the children fit. I think that if families should have restrictions on sugary foods and engage themselves in sporting activities there will be reduction in the rate of teenage obesity. The government should also play their role by creating more parks for sports and obesity awareness programs to inform people more about obesity and its effects.

  6. Childhood obesity can become a serious problem when families are not realizing what they are feeding them or how they are not giving the proper care . To improve this situation the government should start giving lessons in school or start a animated shows about being more active like going to the park showing them how fun it is to have friends. If families work together they can become more healthier and be more happy. By talking to them it would teach them whats good and whats bad in life. This can warn them and become a healthier child and would improve childhood obesity.

  7. Childhood obesity is a serious health crises in America. The most common causes are lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns, or a combination of these factors. To help avoid childhood obesity, children should be encouraged to do more physical activity.Parents should take their kids to the park more often instead of having them playing video games or using the computer.Parents should plan activities to keep their kids active and healthy.

  8. Childhood obesity is a major public health issue requiring urgent action. Thus, communities could take action to play an essential role in healthy lifestyle of children. I think one realistic change that communities can make to reduced childhood obesity is by educating children and parents about healthy nutrition and encouraging them to be physically active. For example, Community organizations along with parents can promote activity programs for children like walk to school. Also, other programs like providing play groups with safe play grounds for kids to play outside that will reduce their time spent in front of television sets. Without doubt, the purpose of those programs worked in reducing obesity.

I believe that parents are the ones to blame to children being obese. In my opinion, it is the parents’ responsibility to include a healthy diet in their kids lives. Introducing a healthy diet to a child is a great start to solve the issue of obesity. If a child is taught to eat a healthy diet, as they grow up they will learn to eat smart, responsible and health; they will make better choices of what they eat. From personal experience, I have witnessed that children mostly eat what is available and offered to them; new foods tend to be neglected just because the children are unaccustomed to it or don’t know what it is. A realistic change to reduce obesity is for parents to teach their kids what’s good for them and what’s not.

  10. The old saying was that it takes a village to raise a child and it will also take a village to “fix” the childhood obesity rate. Although everything starts with the family the community can come together and create programs that will get the children active. In these programs they can have healthy snacks so that the children don’t go eating junk food. The program can also have outdoor activities so that children will be active and moving around. This would be a small step but I think it will be very effective because it will be close to home and a fun thing for the children to do after school instead of being inside on electronics,

  11. I think there are many ways that child obesity can be “fixed”. Help begins at home , the parents are the ones who control what the kids eat. They’re the ones who go grocery shopping so they can eliminate things like sugary drinks and fatty foods. The child’s parent can also enlighten them on the consequences of eating unhealthy foods, both short term and long term affects. From the kitchen at home to the lunchrooms at school healthy eating should be promoted every where. At school only healthy choices should be provided and sugary drinks in vending machines should be eliminated. A lot of changes in the advertisements and what children are exposed to can have a huge effect on what they consume daily. It all begins at home and how the parents approach the situation.

  12. Obesity has become a major issues specially when it comes to children, out of all the children that are being born, most of them turn out to be obese as they grow older, but there are ways in which obesity can be stopped and in other cases prevented. Movement activities/exercises and well balance meals is the key to a healthy life away from the harms obesity can cause. Families should make themselves well inform about obesity and how to prevent it specially when it comes to children. Parents should teach their kids about the harms junk food leaves behind, parents should also teach their kids how to read nutrition labels so they can know what they are eating even before they take there first bite or drink. Children learn while they are at a low age, if they learn about obesity at a low age not only will they protect themselves but their kids as well when they become adults.
