When shooting portraits, front light is often considered the most complimentary light. It flattens the face and minimizes any texture such as wrinkles and blemishes.

Take two photos of your model or yourself with front light, one where you are as close as you can be to the window (the light source) and one where you are standing 8 or 10 ft back from it. Put the two photos in a post under the category Week 12 – Window Light Portraits. Write about your process. Compare the backgrounds of the two photos. Which portrait is more complimentary and why?
