This is my favorite photo our group took. I believe it fulfills the fill the frame compositional principle we went over last week. It’s an extreme close-up of our chair which causes a pretty cool and unique distortion. It also gives a claustrophobic feeling with a sense of shallow space.
I love how the chair fills the frame. This is also a great example of wide angle distortion which is caused by both using a wide angle lens and getting really code to the subject.
Generally, I would reserve the term “extreme close-up” for photos where the shot is so tight on the subject that it becomes unrecognizable.
