LL1-The Thing Itself

There will always be a big difference between the photo and the actual. The photo will always be seen as art no matter how it is taken. We as viewers interpret the photo on what the photographer has given us. The audience will never know the subject and the photo will be our best chance to see how true it was; even without knowing the full details the photo and how it was taken, it will be enough for us the pass judgement on how the subject “truly” was.
The photograph will outlive the subject, (the thing itself) This is why the photo will always be more important. Because the photo outlives the subject, the story of the photo will always be told the same and be the most commonly accepted reality.
