Hello, I am Jeremy a recent transfer student attending City Tech. I am in the COMD program and I am interning at Faculty Commons. I myself enjoy photography, painting, and when I am not in class I am usually skateboarding.

COMD 3530 Advanced Photography Studio

This course will explore studio photography as a means to communicate ideas. Students will learn to use lighting to transform subject matter into metaphor, mood and meaning as well as how to develop visual coherence within a group of images. COMD4900 Internship HD99 FALL 2018

Student is assigned to find fieldwork/study situations of approximately eight hours per week at an internship site approved by the Department Internship instructor. Approved Sites include advertising agencies, graphic design firms corporate design offices, publications art departments, photography or illustration studios, TV or multimedia production companies. Students will be required to keep a learning journal of their internship in the form of a blog using Openlab. A portion of the class will be devoted to presenting and sharing experiences with classmates. Students will learn how to assess their talents, update their resume, and promote themselves and their work through social networks during class meetings. Students will be required to setup and maintain at least two social media networks such as: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.

COMD 2427 Typographic Design III, Fall 2017

This course addresses the advanced creative and comprehensive study of typographic design principles. Exercises include consideration of hierarchy and design with intensive use of body copy to explore multiple columns and grids and multiple page applications, in the design of table, book, poster, web and motion graphics. Lessons include modes of production, font management and electronic file preparation.

Faculty Commons, A Center for Teaching, Learning, Scholarship and Service coordinates all professional development, grants and assessment activities of faculty at New York City College of Technology. Faculty Commons adopts a programmatic approach to professional development and operates as a faculty resource and think tank where members collaborate on a variety of projects to shape curriculum, pedagogy and assessment.
