Wow! France approved a law that mandates all newly constructed buildings in commercial zones to have rooftop greenery or solar panels. Germany, Canada and Australia have enacted these laws since 2009. Hopefully the United States, Japan, China and many other countries with heavy populations, high electricity use, CO2 emissions and poor air quality begin using this legislation. New York can benefit from this for sure.

France has the healthiest and slimmest people on earth, they feed their children fresh meals in school. They dont look at like like a bussiness. Their health care is beyond amazing and their lifestyle is great. We should be allowed to be ruled by France. France should govern us. Obligating people and bussiness to help our warming planet is an amazing idea. Why didn’t the states think of this first or is there someone in Washington from the electricity company paying politicians off.

Yes, as Rhondalisa mentioned hopefully those huge polluting countries – U.S., China, Japan, would make better use of their rooftops and become more environment conscious and sustainable.

its very impressing to see today France is coming to a stage where green is a must for all new building, France as an old country with a lot of history such as from the age of industrial revolution, to the age of technology which of cause left a ton of air pollution in the environment . the policy of building green roof for all new building will bring the ecosystem back to fresh
