The OpenLab is an open-source, digital platform designed to support teaching and learning at City Tech (New York City College of Technology), and to promote student and faculty engagement in the intellectual and social life of the college community.
Good Morning Class!
Upon reading the Aquaponics, I believe that New York City and many others around the nation have ample abandoned lots and spaces to facilitate this type of farming. Traditional farming practices have become increasingly destructive, reform and innovation is the guiding light for the agriculture industry here in the US and maybe even other countries globally. There are many dilapidated areas that can use a positive, beneficial transformation. Aquaponics may be the answer to reducing the carbon footprint and may provide local farmers with employment.
