My research question is: Is animal testing necessary for medical research ? This topic interests me because I love animals. I grew up in Ecuador where it was normal to see stray animals and not help them. I always wanted to change that. I believe that animals should have the same rights as us and not be used as if their lives don’t matter. I already know that there are a lot of popular brands that are labeled as cruelty-free without being proven to be so. Animals have feelings and can feel pain, just like we do too. There are a lot of animals being poisoned and abuse. Some points that I plan to find out more about are why is it necessary to use animals for experiments. I want to know why is it allowed to use animals. Also what other methods can be used for experiments without involving animals.
