Heya guys
Im John, and probably the chillest CST major you’ll meet. I grew up poor in Jamaica Queens and had a pretty sheltered childhood. Going to CityTech is kinda like me stepping out of my comfort zone for the first time, getting to meet new people in an unfamiliar place.
In high school I was an audio engineer, producer and did DJ gigs to make some money on the side. Making music was kinda like therapy for me because I had had a lot of anxiety. Like I would never leave my room cause I felt like at any moment I could just die or something stupid like that.
Sometime after high school I got an opportunity at meta and worked under contract for them for a little under 2 years. I started off a sales associate and eventually landed a gig as a VR engineer for their pop up events.
Now I’m just kinda… here. Anyways that was my 15 minutes, peace
From John, with love
Hi John! I’m also from Queens but I’m from Maspeth. I have a couple friends who DJ and I’ve always thought it was really cool, especially when it’s an outlet for you to release your anxiety. I feel the same when I swim. I’m excited for this semester together!
Hey John, I find it cool that you were involved in many things in highschool like being an audio engineer, producer, and did DJ gigs!

Cool picture. Would you like to be called John instead of Jonathan? Please let me know.
Working at Meta? Wow — that sounds like a dream job, and now you continue as VR engineer. Amazing! Hope to learn more about that.
