My name is Mathew Green and I’m a computer engineering major. I grew up in the Bronx and loved to play video games as it was my main hobby. As I got older, I joined a chess club around the time I was in high school and participated in chess tournaments to play against other schools. Chess piqued my interest since it’s a game that has to do with strategizing and having a clear mind. You and another person can play using the same format, but it all comes down to who makes a mistake first and plays a better game. One cool thing that happened was our school perform well, to the point we were able to join some tournaments that were in different states, such as Pennsylvania and Chicago.
