Given the lack of more artistic/design coursework in the Entertainment Technology curriculum, I have been left with a craving to express myself. Therefore, I found it interesting to learn how to recreate and/or enlarge striking images for the stage. Since the scenic painting course is almost never in session, my curiosity has led me to take on this challenge on my own time and use it to fulfill my final culmination project. Plus I wouldn’t mind having some nice paintings laying around for my future portfolio.

My project will consist of three different painting enlargements, each getting progressively more difficult as I finish the last. Each painting also requires different skills. The first painting is an enlargement of an Archie comic strip, the next is a copper architectural detail and finally, a scenic landscape with a beautiful tree and wooden fence.
