Reserves
Though the Library’s textbook reserves are not available while campus is closed, the Library’s electronic resources, Open Educational Resources (OER), and other Textbook Alternatives can be easily incorporated into online courses and provide access to students who may not be able to purchase a textbook. Contact the Subject Specialist for your program or department with questions.
Open Educational Resources
Use open educational resources (OER) and other free materials to support instruction! Find open / free resources, or browse CUNY and City Tech OER. For more information, contact Prof. Cailean Cooney.
Textbook Alternatives and Electronic Resources
The library has created a guide with Textbook Alternatives that includes links to open textbooks, free textbooks from select publishers, and ebooks available.
Some publishers have also expanded access to select eresources temporarily to support online instruction.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan is continuing to fill article and individual book chapter requests and deliver them electronically. Ill is great for scholarly research and course assignments.
Please note: Because many other libraries are closed across the country, we may not be able to fill all requests, but we will try our best!
