The New York City College of Technology (CUNY) Library seeks a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) instructional design intern for the Spring 2019 semester to create web-based tutorials and research guides that are interactive and can accommodate different learning styles. The ideal candidate will have some instructional design experience and proficiency with instructional technology platforms.
In consultation with the library’s instruction team, this candidate will create, promote, and assess digital tutorials and research guides to support students working in traditional, hybrid, and online course contexts. The intern will gain experience with instructional technology, user experience, and library outreach. This practicum will provide a library science student the opportunity to gain experience in a busy academic library setting and design resources for a diverse, multilingual student population.
Additional preferred technical skills: HTML editing, video editing, proficiency with LibGuides, WordPress, and YouTube.
