Concert in Space

This photo from the Library Archives shows what a school concert looked like  in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. Dressed to impress for the time, the people there must have certainly been some of the coolest cats around. It’s interesting to see the parts of the display that make this concert. In one corner there’s a man on piano singing, most likely with the people to his right. Then the woman seems to be singing her part and the man looks too be waiting for his segment. The band to their right looks to be in their own world letting the music flow through them, focused on their instruments and nothing else. Finally the choir to the right of them seem to be waiting for their turn to sing while the conductor holds them at the ready. And from the looks on their faces they are none too pleased to be there. Or maybe they’ve been waiting for their part an awful long time.
