The library is repeating our Introduction to RefWorks for Citation Management workshop for faculty. Stop by Rm. A540 today (Tuesday, March 3) from 4-5pm.
Streamline your research with RefWorks, a bibliographic citation management tool available to all City Tech faculty. With RefWorks it’s easy to import references from online databases, organize your references into folders by topic or project, and generate a bibliography formatted in a variety of citation styles. In this workshop we’ll cover the basics of using RefWorks from both on- and off-campus.

Blackboard and CUNY Portal Workshops for Students

City Tech Students! Are you taking a class that uses Blackboard? Basic student instruction will be provided on how to get your portal ID and use Blackboard for class assignments.

New Guide to Fair Use in Education

Copyright, designed to protect the legal rights of creators of ideas, texts, images and other media, can be confusing, and fair use of materials for educational purposes can be difficult to assess. A new guide to fair use of all types of media for education was released earlier this month by the Center for Social Media at American University, created in consultation with a legal advisory team. “The Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Media Literacy Education” explains the issues in a concise and lucid manner, and is available in its entirety here:

Using RefWorks to Manage References – A Workshop for Faculty

All City Tech faculty are invited to attend a library workshop on RefWorks, a bibliographic citation management tool available to all City Tech faculty.
