Faculty Workshop: Using RefWorks for Citation Management

The City Tech Library, in partnership with the Faculty Commons, is pleased to invite all faculty to attend a workshop on using RefWorks for citation management. With RefWorks it’s easy to import references from online databases, organize your references into folders by topic or project, and generate a bibliography formatted in a variety of citation styles. In this workshop we’ll cover the basics of using RefWorks from both on- and off-campus.

Spring semester begins today

Welcome back, students and faculty! Beginning today the library resumes our normal semester hours:
Monday-Thursday: 9am-10pm
Friday: 9am-7pm
Saturday: 10am-4pm

Holiday Hours at the Library

The library will be open reduced hours, from 9am-5pm, on December 22nd, 23rd, and 28th-30th. The library will be closed from December 24th through December 27th, and December 31st through January 3rd. We’ll return to our regular schedule in the new year. Happy Holidays!
Update:Regular schedule resumes Jan 28. Reduced hours resume Jan 4.

PubMed Faculty Workshop This Wednesday

The City Tech Library, in partnership with the Faculty Commons, is pleased to invite all faculty to attend a workshop on the PubMed database, the National Library of Medicine’s premier search system for biomedical and health information. Topics covered include the scope and content of PubMed (e.g., how it differs from MEDLINE); building a search using keywords, MeSH terms, and other PubMed search tools; and linking to full-text articles in PubMed Central and City Tech Library databases.

The Library is pleased to announce our new course: LIB 1201 – Research & Documentation for the Information Age. This 3 credit course is scheduled for Tue/Thu 10-11:15am during the Spring semester. The course is open to all students (prerequisite: ENG 1101) and may be taken to satisfy Communications Core requirements or as an elective.
