Reading Badke’s Chapter 3 brought up the question “Do you remember the first thing that you have ever googled?” Keywords is the key to getting the search results you want. As Badke state, if you use the wrong search technique or poor terminology, you won’t get the results you want, even though you know it holds the answer. According to Badke, the good part of keyword searching is that it is quick and helps you narrow down you search. The bad part is the words are capable of having different meaning. We must practice our vocabulary and wording to get the results we want.

Well of course, keywords are meant to make searching easier, but how much does it narrow down? There are so many websites that can contain the same type of content that’s written in the same context, yet it may not be the information you are looking for. And how things are Today, how is a person able to find time to practice accurate searching across the web universe?
Clearly, but how is there a good part to keyword searching if gives you words with different meanings? All that’ll cause is frustration amongst people who really want their search to be found the instant they hit their enter keys.
Well that would be a very long time ago” Googled ” had not even achieved verb status as yet . When I give it more thought it might not have even been a word yet. I honestly cant remember but at the time it would have been “Lycosed” to be more accurate or” Yahooed” the then verbs. I might have been a fan of Webshots back then . Then again I might have been downloading music on Napster. All in all my early searches would have been based on pop culture at the time. It is amazing how many search engines are around now. Some that specialize in specific areas like law medicine to name a few scholastic applications. It was yesterday I happened upon a site with a rest in peace sub heading for earch engines that no longer exist. Hats off to then and thnks for laying the groundwork and templates for us to have gotten this far….
