Today we worked indoors with headshot photography.We also learned how to make a composite image using photoshop masking. I made my composition look like a rave event.

We found a light in front of a restaurant that resembled a spotlight. I used ambient lighting instead of flash lighting. I really liked the exposure the spotlight produced.

Today in class we learned how to make a magazine cover. I wanted my cover to mimic GQ magazine. While shooting I played with different color gels. The red and blue gels looked very vibrant on the subject. I went for split lighting on the subject. The red and blue also looks exactly like the GQ logo I used when editing the photo. Overall Im really happy on the way this cover came out.

Today, We learned how to take photos with high key lighting and low key lighting. High key lighting is to minimize shadows on a figure. Low key lighting is to add more shadows on a figure. One thing I should work on is my framing.

I really this image because it makes seem like the subject on a skyscraper or a tall building. I tried to get the subject in lighting surrounding the front campus. The light illuminating the subjects face. I added some exposure for a sudden pop to the subject.
Glenn Compitello Homework # 1
One photographer that really caught my eye was Joey Lawrence. I really like his use of focus and composition in his images. This image works in terms of framing, I like how he used the subway doors as frame. The rule of thirds is used to almost perfection highlighting the subject in the center of the image.
