To capture these photos I had to underexpose the background in order for the subject to be well lit by the speed light. My settings for the photos were shutterspeed 1/160, ISO 800, and Aperture of F/4.0. I tried a variety of angles squatting and standing and moving the light from different sides. We found that the light works the best from the far right or left to give the light and angle.
