We will be meeting October 17, 9:00 AM sharp at the Cumberland Street entrance to the Brooklyn Navy Yard (corner of Flushing and Cumberland) I will take attendance at 9:00 sharp so arrive early.
Your assignment will be to write a blog post about your experience. I would like you specifically focus on ideas of sustainability and to contrast this sort of farming with the more conventional type. Read the following two NYT articles prior to writing the blog:
The blog should be about 250 words and refer to the field trip, the film we saw in class, as well as the two readings. Make sure the grammar and spelling are correct. I will grade it: 40% evidence of thinking, 40% evidence of reading/watching, 20% logic, style and grammar. The post is a worth 5 points on your final grade.
