NYPIRG has a very laid-back environment, but it could be hectic at any time. Everyone had an assignment or task that they had to work on. The office could not fit all of the interns at once, so a lot of people could not be in there at the same time which created communication problems between us. David usually had interns go out and speak to students about upcoming events. Majority of my time, I was in the office. I had a chair in the office and worked from my own laptop since the computers were taken. I didn’t mind working in a small place because I usually work in small spaces. There was no scheduled lunch time, but I could take lunch whenever I wanted. I felt there should have been a dress code because everyone dressed however they wanted, and some people seemed very unprofessional. I dress to impress; I came looking cute because I knew I had to talk to people.
