About All in the Cards

The name of the company I intern for is called All in the Cards, it’s located in the financial district in Manhattan, New York and founded in 1989. They are a packaging design company that customize products and their packaging specific to the retailer and their consumers. It’s a small private company with only one main office (in New York, the other one is in Hong Kong) where maybe 20-50 employees work. In the New York office, we are divided into departments even though we are all in one area. There the managers who talk with the managers of the companies we work with to see what they are looking for and discuss specific projects and pricing. There are the designers (which is where I am in the company) who create the catalogs for the products, create packaging for the products, and create the products themselves. There are the people who are project managers making sure certain things are done for the clients meeting deadlines and making sure everything is properly executed. There are the people who deal with the factories trying to figure out which materials will properly work for each design as well as which can create the product with better quality. Then there are the people who build the products making sure the sizes are correct and patterns wrap around properly etc.

The company’s primary business is to create seasonal packaging for all their clients based on new trends and designs that are happening at that time. Some of the clients they work with are Target, Walmart, Five Below, Dicks Sporting Goods, American Eagle, and Party City. They have created a strong bond for over 15-20 years with some of these clients where the clients continuously recognize them for on-time shipping performance and excellent overall execution. They also created a relationship with their factories where they are able to get their products created on time as well as at a cost-effective price. The company continues to grow getting more clients each year. Upon researching the company I haven’t found any news articles on them.
