Today at my internship all I did was create Handmade Cards for Michaels from start to finish I took the designs from the head designers and created mockup files as well as posting artwork files. Mockup files are for us to print in house to see if the sizes are correct and how things would look with certain treatments. For example some of the cards we were making had popups as well as glitter treatments and hot stamps on them so part of my job was to print them out make sure the sizes of each item were correct as well as the look of the actual card making sure it wasn’t too much. Then once I had that done I had to create the posting artwork which we create for the factory showing sizes and treatment clearly and simple, also showing the materials needed. We usually give them a date this way they can send us the sample for us to show to the buyers. If the buyers like it then we go on with the production with our factories.
