Outreach campaign development

The proposal

Developing a proposal for an outreach campaign aimed at reaching City Tech students to utilize OpenLab’s the Buzz was the first major assignment tasked to me. I proposed the creation of a vibrant and striking campaign to be displayed throughout the school screens for all to see. Creating the campaign consisted of researching school screens, such as parameters, and making sure all deliverables are accessible and are made with the target audience in mind.

The Target

The target audience is students and faculty of City Tech who will use OpenLab for courses and also for Internship Blogs and ePortfolios. There is no specified age range but we do help to give resources to a range of students in different educational levels. Such as Freshmen, and giving tips and information about what to expect in the upcoming semester of their college experience. Sophomores who will be working on Sophomore reviews, juniors working on internships, or will be doing internships and portfolios for senior classes. We even hope to reach outgoing seniors to write about their experiences in City Tech and using OpenLab throughout their course history.

The Deliverables

The final deliverables will consist of a set of information blog posts that range from, tutorials, tips/ announcements, a collaboration form for students who want to contribute success stories/ tips, etc to other students and highlighted on The Buzz, and a set of slides to be used and showcased on campus screens, and lastly a written handbook document for future interns on the processes of posting for The Buzz.
