Week 4 Lab Report : Sensors (Near and Keyboard)

Week 4

Objective:

Try out as many sensors for Blender game engine in an attempt to understand how each works.

Materials: Blender Software, Computer

Methods: Activate a multiple sensors and play to see what it does

Data: The Near sensor sets a perimeter for and object to be detected

Analysis: Although each sensor has different functions, there are several ways to achieve one action.      

Results: I was able to test the near and keyboard sensor. I was able to make a block interact with both. The block disappeared when it was close to a static actor, and reappeared at a set distance. We also made it blink using the space bar.

Discussion: What you like about controllers. Compare them to a known device and how it relates. Week 5 journals due Mon.
