Years of surfing alongside teaching the sport inched me closer to wanting to work with and teach the importance of nature. Ecotourism prompts travel and integration of the environment around us and ignites change in the form of hospitality. Through an academic perspective, I am eager to learn the fundamentals of marketing and other business aspects among the hospitality field to broaden my overall skill set.
I also worked at Society Café in the Walker Hotel off of 14th street. I was simply a hostess but it was the environment that motivated me to pursue the hospitality field. I aim to please and it was rewarding being around like minded and hospitable people. Dancing ballet pre-professionally for 6+ years; discipline and responsibility are two key attributes I possess, though I am always honing my professional characteristics to further my knowledge and enhance my career.
