The brooklyn bridge is one of New York’s famous landmarks. To start off me and Ashley got a chance to visit one of the hotels located in the area. The hotel is a 4 diamond hotel called first hotel. The setting was entirely based off of the ecosystem. Which worked hand and hand in the view of the Brooklyn bridge. Ashely and I focused on the on the food and beverage aspect of the atmosphere. Which we came to the conclusion that the food and beverage is affected by the the type of community in the area. Since there’s is a mix in population there’s a mix variety off cultured food specific to the Brooklyn bridge area. For example I compared the Brooklyn bridge location is populated with more upperclassmen so the variety of food would be something more healthy and more pricey compare to lower class or middle class locations we would have more fast food or home cooked food restaurants with reasonable prices. Most restaurants would be culture specific compared to the Brooklyn bridge.

Brooklyn Bridge Reflection
Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most famous National Historic Landmarks in New York. Yanice and I were focusing on historical tourism while we were at the Brooklyn bridge and in DUMBO area. After going to Fulton ferry landing, we saw the Ample Hills Creamery which is an ice cream parlor located in a 1920s fireboat house. We also observed that the history was captured in plaques on the wooden deck. In addition, there was the old spelling of New York on one of the plaques. This small neighborhood offers a unique combination of old warehouses, exciting shops and restaurants, and expensive hotels, but it’s also home to the famous pizzeria as well as Jacques Torres Chocolate Shop, St. Ann’s Warehouse, and numerous other art venues. The neighborhood’s peerless urban landscape is the partially the result of being below two bridges, an interesting sight to see.
Brooklyn Bridge Reflection
Monae and I (Anahi) focused on cultural tourism within Brooklyn Bridge and Dumbo. Cultural tourism is tied to the lifestyle, history, art and religion of people that has shaped Brooklyn. In Brooklyn Bridge and Dumbo, activities that relates to cultural tourism are, art auctions that brings local artists together to sell their art, which allows them to show other locals and tourists their talent. As we walked around, we observed many places that people can sit and relax. One in particular are the steps that were constructed with recycled material from destroyed buildings and structures. These steps overlooks a beautiful scenery of the river and manhattan, which creates an overall calming feeling. I also observed lots of plaques on the ground of the docks that symbolized and marked the history of Brooklyn which relates to both historic and cultural tourism.
