Formerly known as âLong acre Squareâ, Times Square was renamed in 1904 after The New York Times moved its headquarters to the Times Building now it’s the site of the annual New Year’s Eve ball drop which began on December 31, 1907, and continues today, attracting over a million visitors .Times Square is a well known commercial intersection, âtourist destinationsâ, âentertainment center and neighborhoodâ in the Midtown Manhattan section of New York City at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. It stretches from West 42nd to West 47th Streets.Times square is an enjoyable location for all age groups. There’s something for everybody weather is a Tuesday night out or a Saturday evening browse around.
1.Friday 11:00am Tims Hortons
2.Friday 1:00pm Madame Tussaud’sÂ
GET YOUR TICKETS EARLY!! Don’t forget you’re in one of New York’s busiest tourist locations. For as little as 29.95(online price) you can get the experience of a lifetime and if your really want a good time tickets go up to as high as 58.95(walk up price) plus tax. There are currently 21 Madame Tussaud’s worldwide, including six in the USA and museums in Beijing, Tokyo and Sydney, Australia. However, there’s only one in New York and its located in the center of Times Square. Meet celebrities such a Wendy Williams and Marilyn Monroe. Wax sculpture celebrities of course, however this is a great location for the those Instagram worthy pictures that will make your friends jealous.
3.Friday 5:30pm Ripley’s  Believe it or NotÂ
This two-floor exhibition has been a must-visit Times Square attraction for adults and children for nearly 80 years.A man by the name of Robert L. Ripley was obsessed with everything weird and wonderful and traveled to 201 countries to build his collection of oddities just to show us the weird wacky unique people, items and animals that exist.There are hundreds of exhibits, many of them interactive and immersive as well as some once owned by Mr Ripley himself.Donât leave before youâve taken photos of yourself âhanging off the Empire State Buildingâ and âbelieve it notâ, your head in a jar! Don’t take my word for it Go see for yourself!
4.Saturday 3:30pm Dave and BustersÂ
How many games can you play? With over 60 plus games to choose from why not play them all? Dave and busters is reasonable depending on how much you are willing to pay for your games. You have to be 18 to attend Dave and busters by yourself, however if you are with an adult over 25 then you should by fine.Staff were always super helpful and friendly. Machines fixed soon as a problem was mentioned. The lady in the ticket shop was really helpful and gave once again great service.Â
5.Saturday 5:00pm Let’s Jam and Eat !!
âRock Cafe New York will rock your sensesâ with savory food and mouth watering drinks and an inspiring collection of music.Hard Rock Cafe Inc. is a chain of theme restaurants founded in 1971. This place has a significant history behind it. After you finish eating in this lively environment don’t forget to buy a souvenir to take home to you friends a family! The service in this restaurant is very fast moving.This is a must go place in Times square.Â
6.Sunday 4:30 Chocolate !!! Hershey’s located in times squareÂ
Personalize your own HERSHEYâS Milk Chocolate Bar wrapper, or âSAY IT WITH A KISSâ and select a digital message to display in-store. Everything chocolate, how can you resist. If you can’t eat chocolate but still love the thought of it help yourself to Souvenirs such ass plush Hershey kiss pillows, or Hershey bar printed pajamas. If your not a Hershey fan just two blocks down is M&M World! Talk about chocolate overload.Â
7.Sunday 8:30pm Beetlejuice on Broadway
Times Square has over 40 Broadway theaters and plays over 40 Broadway shows EVERY NIGHT!! Directed by Alex Timbers Beetle juice tells the story of Lydia Deetz, a strange and unusual teenager whose whole life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a demon with a thing for stripes.Its a remarkably touching show about family, love, and it’s perfect for your next stop in Times Square. The tickets are pricey so be prepared to put out a little extraÂ
8.Sunday 12:am THE NIGHTS STILL YOUNG
So why not shop at one of the many stores located in Times Square, Stores such as Forever 21, H&M, Express, Old Navy, Citizens watch AND EVEN SEPHORA! Yes their open and filled with both expensive and inexpensive things you must get your hands on.

West-in hotel The West-in hotel is located in 270 W 43rd St in Times Square.While visiting The West-in Hotel youâll noticed that the hotel was modern and sophisticated. The furniture in the lobby is modern and new.The leather seating and gift shop in the lobby stood out the most. The employees were very nice and helped answer my questions. There is a continental breakfast fee and all American breakfast fee.
