The class meet as a group at the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens on a very nice sunny day. I brought my Canon DSLR and was eager to learn what I was suppose to do with my camera. Prof. Michals explained how the camera reads lighting and what each setting does. She also explained that in order to adjust for all this extra lighting we are having today, it is possible to get contrast by adjusting the exposure compensation. I was somewhat familiar with adjusting exposure, but now that I was using it to add contrast in my photos when out in bright or low light, it was amazing how much better my photos look than usual! I was very excited by understanding this feature that l couldn’t stop taking pictures. In a land of my own, I kept astray from the group. Luckily I was able to find the class and learn even more valuable tips on getting my camera to do what I want it to do. As a designer, controlling the output of my visual elements is crucial. I am excited to learn even more.
