Write a post of at least 200 words comparing the daguerreotype that you handled today at the Brooklyn Historical Society and any digital photograph that you have taken this semester.  How does the format change the experience of both taking and viewing photographs?

Daguerreotype is invented in the 18th century. At that time, this new invention sells 3 million copies that is 7 million dollars of profit for the company that invented it. Daguerreotype uses a shiny mirror and chemicals to make the mirror brighter. People use Daguerreotype to make portrait of their family members.

In differences the photographs that I take in class is colored. The size is larger than the Daguerreotype and it can be other type of style other than portrait. Photographs that I take can arrange the size of the photograph and I can choose to print it and take it around. For carry, the weight for my photograph is lighter than the Daguerreotype. The exposure is higher and it is controllable. To see a Daguerreotype or show it to other people, they have to go to my house; to see a digital photograph, I will post it online so everybody will see it.
