âMTVâ Logo
I choose to use the infamous Music Television Logo, also known as MTV. The Logo was launched on August 1, 1981; It was made with a group effort by âManhattan Designâ, which consisted of Pat Gorman, Frank Olinsky, and Patty Rogoff. The original design consisted of a 3D âMâ created by Rogoff, but the âTVâ was later created and added on by Olinsky. The âtvâ was added using a graffiti style but it was played around with a lot before reaching a look that they felt was suitable for the image.
This logo was a great thought out design; they were able to take the design and further it more. The MTV logo was simple which allowed them to redesign it in many ways, using different patterns, colors, and sizes. They would add what ever they needed to the add according to the event or occasion, all these changes wouldnât effect the over all outline of the original design, so you would still be able to recognize the logo. The MTV logo was memorable for people, on the television network you would always see the logo dancing around or having some sort of movement, this was easy to do, I think, because of the simplicity of the design.
