MIDTERM exam – during class

The best way to prepare for the Midterm is to complete your Project 1 Drawings:

Elevations — Section — Floor Plan

• Make corrections, discussed in class
• Use line weights to clarify architectural elements
• Per the demo in class week 7: add dimensions, and drawing labels; title block
  • Slides for Elevations week 5 are here.
  • Slides for Plan + Section weeks 6 and 7 are here.

• SUBMIT Project 1 Drawings to Dropbox here

AND ALSO BRING YOUR DRAWINGS TO CLASS!

• Bring all your drawing supplies to class. You will need them to do the Exam.

NOTE: You may use your Project 1 drawings as a reference during the exam.

EXAM Part 1: Drawing

• Be prepared to draw, using your tools for measured drawings
• Exam will be similar to the Project 1 Assignment: small building
• Format will be 11×17 paper with border and title block

EXAM Part 2: Written description of 2 buildings from photos

• There will be 2 short building descriptions, you must use vocabulary terms from the assignment list on the slides
  • The vocabulary terms are on slide deck week 5 here

After the exam we will introduce the Urban Design Study assignment and prepare for the Field Trip next week Thursday March 31st.
