To-Do Before Class

  • Complete your Vocabulary terms and sketches from last week:
  • Architectural terminology – Look up the terms on the list below:
    • Write their meanings in your sketchbook; and sketch images that help describe their meaning.
    • Be sure your sketches are large enough – 2″ square minimum
    • Be prepared to explain each term at our next class. Come to class with at least 1 question on a term you are not sure about.
Terms Week 2
  • Complete Sketching assignment from Agenda 3
    • Bring your sketchbook with completed sketches to class
  • Watch the videos from class on how to read and use an architectural scale
  • Complete your 4 rectangles you started in class:
    • 1 square + 1 rectangle at scale: 1/4″ = 1′-0″
    • 1 square + 1 rectangle at scale: 1/2″ = 1′-0″
    • Label your drawings – use architectural lettering you practiced in class
  • Photo + Upload your drawing to Dropbox here
