When you think of Dracula you think this creepy monster, who is this pale color, with sharp senses, and is an outsider that leads humans in his trap. Yet when I read Dracula, he was depicted as scary but seems like to get his ways he uses a different method. He seems eager to learn English from Jonathan, in which the author depicts that he sort of accepts other people who are different such as himself and try to learn their ways. Still, when I was reading it, the author helped to give that scary supernatural feeling, the description of his appearances and how little by little Jonathan is picking up on those hints that there is something different about Dracula. This book also gives a similar gothic feeling as it did when we read Frankenstein. He also himself when described, was described as a monster. Both Dracula and Frankenstein were both outsiders and both were described as creatures with grotesque features. Also, both creatures were feared by humans and weren’t accepted and seemed to be alone. Both Mary Shelley and Bram Stoker showed readers what humans are most afraid of and it’s the fear of something different, something they don’t understand.
