After creating this Op-Ed essay, I would like to say that the Research process that I took to create this assignment was to find a topic that I felt would be debatable. I am someone who really likes animals and I personally never had an interest in wearing products with animal furs on them. So that’s how I was able to choose my topic. What I learned by doing this research paper, is that even faux fur is damaging to the environment as well since it is artificial fur and their fibers are not biodegradable (Or they will take centuries) which again is bad for the environment. Even if I never write an Op-Ed again, what I learned about doing this type of writing is that it is important to get your details organized and speak clearly so that you can easily get your point across. You have to hit people with factual evidence that does make people want to feel concerned about the opposing side.
